U-Jam Fitness is a high energy dance fitness class that takes dances from all over the world and mixes it with an urban, hip hop flavor. When you walk into a U-Jam class, the feeling is always happy and energetic. Even if its your first time to a U-Jam class, you immediately begin to feel part of the group, because U-Jam is all about unity! Hence their slogan, “United We Jam”.Compared to any other fitness format I have ever done, U-Jam really feels like a party. If you have ever caught yourself watching performers on TV twerking and thought, “Damn, I want to learn how to do that!”, then this class is for you! U-Jam offers a really fun, non judgmental way for you to really come out of your shell and try all those dance moves that you wish you knew how to do.

The music is a component of this fitness format, not to be forgotten! DJ Makaio ( Matt Marks), co-creator of U-Jam, (along with the amazing Suzy C. Marks) mixes up the most amazing funky beats! Unlike a lot of other fitness formats, U-Jam uses the actual real recording artists, rather than subbing it with a cover. This makes a huge difference to the feel of the class! You can really let yourself go and “jam” to the music, signing along with your favorite artists! There is nothing worse than having your favorite song ruined, by a cover, that will never be as good!

U-Jam is my personal favorite fitness format I have ever tried. I encourage you to come out of your shell and give it a try to! All you have to do is let the music drive you..
